Do you think you can start too many discussions on mylot? I keep thinking of things to start discussions on and they keep coming into my mind. I have them all written on a piece of paper, but I don't want to put them all on because I don't know if it is right to have too many discussions going. What do you think about this?

Well, if they're well thought-out and not one-liners, then I don't think it's really against mylot rules to start a lot. You probably don't want to post them in rapid succession and fill up the whole "new discussions" screen, because that's kind of rude, and you might get accused of using a bot to post them so quickly. Otherwise, I think you can start as many discussions as you can keep up with. I know I usually can't keep up with more than one or two at a time... I just get behind in reading and commenting on responses, and then I feel bad about it. But if you have a lot of time to be on and do that, or you feel you can keep up, I say have fun!

I think it's possible. When I see some post out ten or more within fifteen minutes and some I've seen post out a good 20 or more in that time I have to think that is too much at once. Most of them though at least to me seem like they could be part of one discussion but instead of merging them together they post each part alone. For example. "What is your favorite song by this group", "What is your favorite album by this group", "What is your favorite music video by this group", and "Who is your favorite member of this mucis group?" All of that could be done in one post but they will flood us with four different ones of very little quality there. I think if you are posting quality and well thought out discussions it's not a problem. Ones that give a reader something to really respond to then you don't have to worry. To actually write them out and post them when they are quality discussions means you'd seldom flood mylot with them.

If you are here to earn money, then yes, I believe you can waste too much time on beginning discussions. I don't believe they pay very much. Most of the money earning is done by responding to discussions. However, if you are not here for the money and really want answers to questions, they starting a discussion is a great way to get some answers.

I don't think there's any rule about having too many discussions, and if you feel like starting one, you might as well. I've seen a few posts about people complaining that their friends are starting too many discussions at a time, but I don't mind when my friends do. I think its just a matter of personal preferance. For myself, I've been thinking about the best time to start a discussion. I noticed that whenever I start one, I get the most response almost as soon as I post it. I'm going to try and space mine out over different times of the day to see which ones get more replys.
