About three or four nights ago,I was brushing my hair in front of the bathroom mirror when to my horror I discovered my first grey hair. After ranting and raving and scaring 10 years off my dad's life,I started brushing again and I'll be darned if i didn't find another 5 or 6 grey hairs on the side! I do not remember seeing them the day before .Is it possible for that many to appear over night or do you think they were there and I just didn't notice?

THey probably were there before and you didn't notice them. Although sometimes they do seem to appear overnight:) I don't have that problem yet - but people in my family don't usually get grey hair until really late in life. But my husband has had grey hair since his late teens. WHen I met him he already had a few. By 30 his hair was at least 30% grey. At 45 all is hair is basically grey.

Yes, looking into genetics there wouldn't seem that you would be graying early. And probably you won't just a few gray hair here and there doesn't mean that all hair will gray soon:) But I know what you mean about the shock..

I swear they do! LOL They sure seem like it, don't they! I remember my first grey hair was just about 3 years ago and since having my daughter 3 yrs ago, I have gotten more and more! I have a lot in the part of my hair in the front. It SUCKS!!! LOL I have always colored my hair, but I make sure I color my hair a lot more often now. :)

No, it is not possible to spring up over night. Grey hair on head become grey gradually and at such a place where your skin is becoming lossing vitamine. Hair may become grey before due age if your head skin has no sufficient calcium and other vitamine. So do not worry just take care about calcium intake and E vitamine for your hair.

Recently I was checking out my hairline when I put my hair back into a hairband. What I saw shook me up. Well, I know that when you approach the age of 50 that you should have some greys, but I be danged if they didn't creep up and take root of at least a good 20 hairs or more! Lady Clairol help me quick!

I hear ya girl,I hear ya! I am trying to decide how to color. I had a beautiful color picked out it was light brown with a hint of copper. I went back to get it and cvs didn't have that color anymore. I knew I should have gotten it while I had the chance!I just know that i am not putting up with it lol. It's it weird how it just springs up on ya like that?

They probably were there and you didn't notice. Having gray hair is normal. Some people start getting gray hair in their early 20's or earlier. Dont worry about it in the long run you will probably look more intriguing with a few gray hairs.

You just hadn't noticed my dear. Don't feel bad, my first ones showed up at 12, & in 7th grade I sat behind a gal with quite a few already.
