When I cooking or busy in the kitchen I'd love to hear some music, I put my radio/ mp3 players in the kitchen room. Sometimes I do sing along with whatever I have in my hand as a microphone...hehehe. It's quite enjoyable actually and make me less grumpy, for a moment I forgot all those cooking steam and chopping and the smell that stick on your clothes...definitely need a shower after cooking (and continuing my singing talent during shower...hmph).
And I know some of my friends who put TV's in the kitchen room while cooking so they won't miss their fave TV shows. How about you ??? Would you put some music or TV or you just like quite while you are cooking ???

I spend very little time at Kitchen (my wife does not leave anything to be done by me). But I prefer listening to music while doing such things... it peps you up...keeps you in good humour and boost your mood. But I think wathing TV while cooking can be dangerous proposition. Some mishap may happen due to watching TV in the kitchen. It is better not to watch TV while cooking.

i love to music so much.usually i hear it every time doesnt matter wht i do expect that when i study.so even i preare food for myself i listen to music.i love it.

In my case whenever I'm the one cooking, I love to turn on my component. I would play a CD of pussycat dolls or when I'm in the mood for soft music I go for shayne ward. It's because when I cook I don't want to be bored waiting for the food to cook. Sometimes when the music is upbeat, i would dance while stirring the pot. I don't want to sing while cooking because of some old saying that if you're single and you sing while you cook, you'll become an old maid. So whenever possible, I control myself not to sing...hehehe. I don't like putting TV on the kitchen because it would only distract me.

well, singing is okay for me.. it relieves one from stress but i would not in anyway put my tv in the kitchen while cooking or whatsoever.. because i might get accidents because my eyes will surely be glued to the screen.. i don't think that is ok...

I have music playing most of the time in the house, not just while I'm cooking but also doing the housework and while I am on line. I can't live without music, and I find it helps me to stay cheerful and busy. Right now I have a rock cd playing fairly loud, and I will happily sing along to some of my favourite tracks

I love and enjoy music whenever I do some home work. Even while cooking I always keep my portable radio by my side and tune to FM 820 or any other good music channels. Also I never want to miss my favorite programs on the TV when I am at work especially in the evening.

I would switch on the TV and listen and watch MTV at the same time while cooking. It's better and I could move and groove myself to the beat. Sometimes I do sing along to the beat. This would make cooking or household cleaning more interesting....

Well, I don't cook. However, we do have a TV in the kitchen. This is because we watch different shows in the house. Some will sit in the living room while others will be eating in the kitchen.

If one of my shows in on in the evening while cooking dinner, I can see the living room TV from my kitchen !! If not, then I do listen to the radio or cd's for entertainment. I tend to do this while cooking/cleaning etc. I have to say, I don't use wooden spoons as microphones though...lol (BUT if you promise not to tell.. I DO dance around the kitchen/house if by myself like a complete fool !!)

I am surprise to hear that u keep on listening to music in the kitchen too. It shows urs love for music but does urs meal etc. n't burn while enjoying music??????? hehehehe. Well, i do n't cook. My Mom cooks at our home but neither She listens to music during cooking nor me when i sometimes, make tea for me. I do n't have this habbit.

its funny. i does the same and when cleaning also. when we work and have some music for our company, we feel that this job its not bad after all. i does sing along in every song i know in the radio or television. but, only one thing. i don't like very much...
since my kitchen is near the neibour turn on another music that i don't like it at all such as dangdut music that makes a bad mood or keroncong music that makes me sleepy.. i rather buy lunch outside my house. :D

This was my habbit before having a baby. Nowadays I have to keep an eye on my baby and then cook.
