How often do you...

How often do you vaccuum? My partner and I got into an arguement because I say that we need to vaccuum twice a day. He thinks that you should just vaccuum once a day if that. We have three dogs and three young children. Our one dog is a long haried. I brush her daily but she still sheds alot. They kids are almost always making messes with crackers and such. I have another dog who thinks it is his job to try to clean the carpet with his tongue. So I believe the carpet needs to be vaccuum often to make sure he doesn't get all that stuff into his system. How often do you vaccuum? Do I do it too often?

I don't have a maid either but my children occasionally will offer to vaccuum for me because they like to be able to use the vaccuum.

Well, I have 4 dogs and we only have carpet in two rooms of our house. I think we should vacuum all the time. We have one of those vacuums that gets really low to the floor so that you can vacuum non-carpetted floors and we vacuum about 3 times a day. With 4 dogs, an almost 5 year old son and baby sitting 2 boys under 2 we just have to do it that often to keep everything clean. Even with putting the dogs outside during the day, brushing them daily and bathing them twice a week, they shed something awful. Every time I sweep the floors firts (to get the big things up before vacuuming) there is gobs of dog hair. So I don't think you are doign it too much.

I vaccuum everyday. I have also young children and keeping our carpet clean is a challenge. I think its very important for everyones health to keep your floor clean. We don't have pets and i'm always worried about what kind of germs are on the floor when I see my kids laying on their tummies coloring or watching t.v. If its you vaccuuming the carpet then he should be thanking you for a job well done...not arguing :)

His problem is the amount of time I spend cleaning up at the end of the day really. I usually clean the house after the kids take off for school. My youngest only goes to school for a couple of hours so I normally try to have as much of the housework done before he gets home so that we can play. My boyfriend is upset that I will repeat jobs like vaccuuming at the end of the day as well. He figures "You did it once why waste time doing it again when you can spend time with the kids and I."

vacuum cleaning - i will do it at least twice a week
Hello, kissthis,i will do vaccum for my bedroom at least twice a week,i think i am not doing it too often as i can always see some dust on the floor,I am a clean person and cannot stand a dirty room. In fact,I think i should do it everyday but i am too lazy doing this after come back from work. I also need to clean up the cobwebs at the corners of the walls sometimes, that is why I think it is better to do vacuum more frequently.

I can tell you that I don't vacuum twice a day...not even once a day. I've eliminated a lot of the carpeting in my house and that made a big difference. I also try to brush my dogs as much as I can to eliminate any loose hair. I'd rather brush them than vacuum anyway. The other thing I did was I bought an electric broom and I use that every other day between heavy-duty vacuuming to pick up any crumbs, etc. It's faster and I don't have to feel guilty about not vacuuming every day.

I do brush my dogs everyday but for whatever reason TaTa always seems to be shedding. I would like to switch my carpeted floors to hardwood but I haven't had enough money to do it yet.

I can honestly say I hate to vaccuum. I try to do it as little as possible to be honest. Often I will pay one of the children a couple of dollars if they will run the vaccuum for me. Usually the floors will get vaccuumed once a day or every other day, depending on how they look. Besides my girlfriend runs the vaccuum cleaner in the mornings while I am work. She just wants me to vaccuum after dinner as well. Once is really enough.

I dont vaccum twice a day but I dont have children or dogs either. I do have 3 cats thou. I vaccum every other day. I know your brush your dogs and I also brush my cats alot. I use to be a groomer heres a tip if you can try to give your dogs a bath a couple times a month. It loosens the hair and you will see a big difference in the hair around your house.

I would say that since you have dogs that shed. Twice a day is not too much. You don't want hair all over the place. You have young children who invaribly will pick things off the floor and put them in their mouth and you don't want hair going along with the item in their mouth. So I would say that you don't vacuum too much. You are doing what you need to do to keep the place healthy for everyone that lives there. Including your partner.

Hello KissThis You want to vacuum your apartment once a day, then i will give up with you, usually i vacuum min once a week. I had 2 little kids, but we try to say to her to eat only at table, so we can keep the carpet clean. But If I were in your condition maybe vacuum everyday is the better choose. God bless you *angel www.beautycosmetictips.com
