half of america hates him while the other half just about idolises him.what is it with this kid.and i am not sure how many of you had watched the original "besame" video but what snajaya did to the song was just unbelievable.well, now we know that he can sing.as far as the conspiracy theorey goes, thats all nuts.all conspiracy theories including the one about sanjaya are all rubbish.the AI people have no need to fix it,they just leave it to the americans to vote their votes in.that said, the sad but harsh truth is that for any rock idol to suceed he/she must have the following:youth, hair, looks, charm, personality, and singing talent.sanjaya more than any other contestant has all of those.the other contestants can sing, but generally lack one or more of the above.the only contestant who had all of the above was haley and she was booted out last week. i'd have to say that sanjaya was the dark horse and it seems to a lot of people that the dark horse is fast becoming a near sure winner. the other sad truth is that some parts of america is still racist even today esp in the deep south.i know this personally since i did some of my education there,in Mississippi.so yea, there are some people out there who just do not like the other person all based on their skin color and all that.what ihave found out, well it is my personal oinion, about people saying sanjaya sucks, these people have no rational exp for saying so. i mean,if a person sucks on a singing comp, well saying his singing is bad, well that is okay.but now we know that sanjaya can indeed sing and quite well at that.so what is the reason to badmouth him still? he certainy has all that it takes to be a rock idol,so why should he not win?he has the looks, the presence, the hair, the youth and the singing talent,so why should not sanjaya win? i for one always vote for the underdog and most of the time my underdogs have lost.but i am hapy to say that atleast this time my underdog which has transformed to a dark horse has a very good chance of winning. lets take one of the other competitors, balke.well blake just barely has good looks but is a bit too chubby for my liking.i really cannot se him as a rock star more like singing a cabaret on why we should "blakerise".frankly what he had done to all those classics at the studio is a sin and he is one of the contestants that i shall indeed be very happy to see axed.see,i have a rational exp as to why i do not like blake.the sad part is that all those who say that they hate sanjaya or do not want to see him win the competion cannot offer me a single rational exp. by the way people just making wierd noises as you sing does not make it original,it jsut makes it unbearable and just plain gibberish! anyway thats all i wanted to say for today until tomorrow, besame......."

theres nothing wrong with that kid.... whats wrong is he still needs to undergo singing lessons. you are not paying much attention to the contestant, pay attention to melinda dilittle and you will realize that sanjaya needs to undergo singing lessons. but no doubt about it he is charming.

i do like melinda, honestly i thought that she sounds better than lakisha does.like i had said before i kinda like championing the dark horses.anyway i do agree with you that sanjaya is charming and i am sure that ther music industry which by the way has a reputation for being one of the most superficial industry, will have taken note of that. other than that i honestly do not see why people still want sanjaya off the show since his last week's performance"besame" actually sounded the best of the whole lot last week! anyway thanks for sharing ur comments!lets see what today[here it is wednesday already] brings sanjaya and the others.it is supposed to be celine dion,i just hope that no one sings from titanic as i cannot stand that song anymore as have heard it a billion times!so i hope that the songs are all from soneone else today!

yeah i am pretty sure of that and for the record sanjaya being booted out today did not come as a total suprise.his performance was lacklustre and i am sure that he will learn, and experience more and come back to AI next season! actually the women mature a whole lot faster them men.which is why for guys whe u are at the age of 17[sanjaya's age] your voice would have all these falsettos and it would tremble, you would not have that much control over your voice.because the voice would not have fuly matured, whereas for the women their vices mature by the time they are 15 years for the guys they generally get a full bodied voice by the time they are 18-19 yrs of age.so if his unmatured voice was good enough fir him to get through the audition then i guess once his voice is fullymatured and he has greater control then we can only expect greater things from him musically! chk out my thread on AI today! thnks and do chk out my other thread as well and it has indeed been a pleasaure replying to yuor coments and have a nice day.

Well, I am not sure why people are still wanting him off the Show? Could it be they are not ready for Young talent? His Hair? or what? I have wondered also if it could be Skin color or something? I do agree he did not sound the Best when he first was in the final 24, and such, but I feel he can Sing, and is prooving it more and more each week. I honestly feel there are a lot of people out there who like him is why he continues to still be on there. I am wishing the Best for his future no matter what others might think of him. He is from the Seattle area like I am from, and so is Blake, so I know Seattle has some Great talent coming in the near future beyond Idol.

thanks for your positive commnets and i have to say that although most of the competitions are about being the best nad all that but i feel that all competions have to be graded on a curve.that is i would much rather give the top prize to the contestant who improves his talent the most rather than just give it to one who sounds constantly the best. because in the long run,it is those who learn and strive hardest will do the best.i am not sure if u remember that when Jlo first hit the music scene, people said some of the most awful things about her in the U.S.but she learnt, strived even harder and now she is on the top.so yeah i shall cheer not just for sanjaya but for every competitor who strives the hardest!

I like Blake and Lakisha the best. I think Jordan is right up there also. I think Sanjaya should go. I do not think he is idol material, sorry.

I've grown to appreciate Sanjaya's performances. As for the conspiracy theory, I haven't heard about that one and it's something I need to read up on. My biggest problem with him was an article I read and posted on mylot regarding Indian call centers automatically voting for him. So if that's true, then that in itself is racism in its purist form. I've also noted that there's nothing wrong with pride but when you let it run your decisions (Sanjaya's an Indian so we're voting for him) that's leaving the other competitors in a handicap. I'll agree with you that his performance of "Besame Mucho" was great and I also agree with Randy's comment on how he's the smartest competitor in AI history. He truly is b/c he has this charm about him that you can't dislike.
