About indtallation of softwr in my computer

Can any one help me about the indtalation of Windows XP Home Edition......... Like I have just installed Windows XP Home Edition and it is warning me to Activate it. So when i have started activating it it says "computer cannot connect with the activation sercer. Please do check the network settings and connect it again" and it also gives the Mesg. Number # 32777. Inspit of me being connected to the internet I am getting this above message.
Can any one help me in this regard.
I will be thank full if any one can give me the correct information.
