do you take baths with your little ones. do you find it inapropriate or at what age does it become inapropriate. my daughter is 3 and still loves taking a bath with me.

I don't think there is anything wrong with bathing with your kids till they reach around school age. Then they won't want to anyway I would assume. Mostly I don't take baths with my kids because I like the water way too hot for their little bodies. One time when I was pregnant with my daughter my son was in the tub with me (he was around 11 months old). Well, he looked at my n1pples (now very dark of course), poked them and laughed. Like he hadn't just stopped nursing a few months before, eh? Well, my husband laughed so hard that he couldn't even get my son out of the water. Since then I let him bath with my husband when he wants to share a tub.

i like my water really hot too so i don't bath with her all the time. she always stands beside the bath begging to come in though if i take one alone. sometimes i'll start the water and start taking my clothes off, she comes running in stripping as fast as she can to get it before i have a chance to say anything. she really loves it

Somedays I think that I live for the day that I get to pee or bathe without an audience. Now that my son talks all I hear is "You have to pee? You have a bath?" I don't really mind. Normally I wait for the kids to be in bed before bathing so that I can have the tub to myself.

I took baths with my daughter when she was 3 and probably up to age 4. Then, it just got too crowded! I don't think I'll do the same with my son though. It just seems weird to me!

I never did bath with my daughter. I used pool floats and other gadgets for bath time. This could be the reason I have back trouble. Heather liked to play in the tub very young. I used to bath her in the sink when she was really little but that did not last. My kid wanted to move around and swim. She still loves the water. I think she first dunked herself when she was about four months. She did not even cry if I remember correctly.

I bathe with my 5 month old but that's it. When he needs a bath, it's easier to get in with him. He feels more secure and I don't worry so much about him slipping. I still take my own separate bath because I don't want him getting my soaps and shampoo on him and I also prefer my water hotter than would be good for him. I didn't ever bathe with the other children though. It's not because I think it's inappropriate, I just thought everyone should have some privacy. When they were very little I sat next to the tub and once they were old enough to wash themselves I would sit across the room. Once they were older they were mostly on their own. My 4 year old (boy) likes playing in the tub but also likes "showees" with Daddy. It causes occasional embarrassing conversations...but I don't see anything wrong with it. It won't be long before he decides he's too big and we'll miss these days.

I don't take baths with my kids anymore but I don't see anything wrong with it...our bathtub is too small for me and a kid =) My two kids take a bath together though. I would take one with my daughter when she was tiny...but not anymore. I think when your daughter tells you she wants to take a bath by herself then let her, otherwise enjoy the time together!!

My parents never got into the bath with my sister or I. I don't think this is something I'd do with my childen. I think that every person and every family has their own individual comfort zones. An interesting question though, thanks for asking.

Well everyone has their own views on stuff like this. For me my sons stopped bathing with me when he was about 2 and my daughter will too. I just think that kids need to know limits on being allowed to see people naked as early as possible. I think the soonner they learn things the better.

I take a bath with my 1 year old daughter. But my other 2 kids (3 and 4 yrs old) wants to join always so all of us end up taking a bath at the same time.

I have never taken a bath or shower with my kids, mostly because when they were infants I was afriad of dropping them because they were slick, and when they got older they were just used to taking their own baths, and they are boys so I'd prefer not to do it. If I had a daughter and I did it, I would probably stop somewhere between 12-18 months. I dont find it inapropriate but I probably just wouldnt do it. I'd say over the age of 4-5 would be getting a little too old. Just my opinions though!

I dont take my children in the bath with me. Just because its ME TIME! Its the only time I get to be alone, away from the kids, the hubby, and all my responsibilities! I shower/bath alone!
