I'm back after a big 3 day without internet. I'M back and in brand new house. In fact, it,s my first house. It's really weird and I just can't realise that ut's MY house, my brand new home. WE didn't finish unpacking yet, but I have a week off, so I have some times. We have some furniture to buy, but there is not much to do. I was wondering how it was when you just move on to your first house. How did you felt the first day? How long did it take you before you really realise you were there?

We bought out first house in 1982 our son was one and out daughter was four. The thing I remember the most we signing all the escrow papers. I nearly passed out. I was about to have an axiety attack. I realized if somthing went wrong with the house we did not have a landlord to call and had to fix ourselves, we where the landlords. It took me weeks to get moved in. I had no help from my husband who worked all the time. Trying to unpack with two little children was a chore. The first thing we changed was; I had my husband put a clothes line in the back yard. I was washing diapers. I love to sun dry my clothes. We live in sunny California. Now we have our second home. The signing of the paperwork was not so hard. I now have painted one room and am thinking of painting one of the bathrooms. It is just my husband and I, our children are 29 and 26 and living on there own. We have a swimming pool and a nice groomed yard with automatic sprinkles in the front of the house. I spend most of my summer out on the patio or in the pool. I have already started on my tan, just by doing a little yard work. I just putts, we have a gradner who mowes and weeds.

Congratulations, it is great the first time you get your own place. My son has just gone off to University and was thrilled to think he had his own new address. We have not moved very often but I still sometimes get confused and think some things are stored in a particular cupboard but that one belongs to our old house!!! When forgetting to take a turn to drop a friend off once my dad said 'the car drives itself home'. Take care to remember the way to your new house when you are tired or not concentrating properly. Best wishes.
