Would you post your resume onto monster and careerbuilder, if not why, is it unsafe ?

I have posted my resume online before and I think it's a great way to get your name out there and it's a great idea for prospective employers to call me if they like my resume, I liked the fact that they called me and I didn't have to go after them. In my case, however, I don't choose to do that right now because I received phone calls from places that I'm unable to get to and had to explain why I couldn't work at their company and felt a little embarrassed, so I'm kind of on my own where my job search is concerned. But I think it is pretty secure for anyone to do this. Only the companies that are in the market for hiring can see it as far as I know and if you want to get calls about jobs why not try it. Good luck and welcome to MyLot.

I'll never post my full resume because of ID theft issues. What I usually do is post my skills, qualifications, a 'disposable' email address but nothing like my DoB, address, NI Number, banking details, etc. (Don't laugh - Irecently saw someone post their bank account details on their CV....)

I cant believe that someone would actually put their banking information on their resumes. Thanks for your reply by the way.
