Everythings is predestined? Is it?

Do you think God or someone knows the future. Me personally I don't think God or anyone knows everything that's gonna happen. But what do you think? Is it everything predestined, your future, coming partner, name of your kids, the day you will die? Come on folks! Post your opinions...=)

Everythig comes down to faith, even evolution and athieism. David, i guess it depends if your faith lay in God the creator and author. If you believe in God then you should know the creator is not bound by the creation. If God created the universe and everything in it including our preception of time then he is not bound by it. Picture it as a "snow globe", God creates the "snow globe", inside is the universe and all time, could God not look at all aspects of it? I think prediestined is the wrong term for it, since no man could no what tommorow holds. Nor is God puppet master who controls your day. God may be aware of what tommorow will be but he will not control you into a destiny, we have free will to choose, although God knows what our choices will be long before we make them. This isnt really destiny or pre destined in any way, its all free will, just because God exists outside of the "globe" and can see all sides and aspects doesnt mean he will set a path for you which you cannot stray from. He simply already knows what you will do.

Evolution has nothing to do with faith, only Christians attempt to make this claim in their desperate attempt to equate evolution with religion. Atheism, being a lack of faith, also would have little to do with faith and is about pure rationalism. This too is simply another attempt by christians to turn something that is not a religion, into a religion.

I don't know if you would call it predestined or not, but I do know for sure that God knows everythng that is going to happen because He created the earth and everything in it. It says in the Bible that he knew us in the womb before we were born. I believe that he knows what is going to happen to us before we go to bed tonight, what the day will bring tomorow and throughout the rest of our days here on earth. The Bible says that the very hairs of our head are numbered. If He knows the number of the hairs on our head I know He knows everything else. He knows all about our past, present and future. He knows if we will die before He sends his Son back to this earth or be alive when that happens.

i do believe that God is all knowing. He knows the past, present and future. I am sure He knows everything that is going to happen for all of us.Pre-destination is what i believe, because everything happens for a purpose. Im not created accidentally.Im sure He created me because i had a purpose in life. That is to be the best husband to my wife, a loving father to my children, an excellent worker and to live a life with values.

If everything was predestined, why do we bother caring for our health or avoiding dangerous situations? Wouldn't you be much more vulnerable in a battlefield than in your house? Doesn't a non-smoker get sick and might die with cancer as opposed to the person who quit?? Why are there fewer mortal accidents when automobilists wear their safety belts? Whatever we do now determines what will happen to us. It's not God that decides for us. What happens if you're in a plane filled with people and it's the pilots predestined time to die? Does this mean everyone in the plane was predestined at the same time???

Yes God and He alone by His power of omniscience (all-knowing) knows about your life and future. He knows the end from the very beginning! We all are pre-destined just that various forces fight to hinder that destiny from being accomplished including us. From my understanding of predestination, your life is rolled out by God from the beginning to the end and he pushes the button back to START (at your birth). Nice day.

Impossible to determine but rather unlikely. If everything was pre-determined then that would make prophecy, psychics, astrology et all possible and accurate, Since they are not, there is no rational way to support the idea. But pre-determinism is essentially a tenet of some religious faiths with are not subject to rationality. It comes down to the same thing for those people, a matter of faith.
