I don't have much of any other choice. LOL. I am on a seriously limited budget and there isn't usually alot of extra money around for splurging. The children are very aware of our situation. They know that I don't get much in and they know what our bill situation is and that there are things that I HAVE to do and get before they can have any money. And if things are too tight and I haven't got the extra money for them, they understand. They don't like it but they understand. My children are completely different with money. My son is always thinking of stuff he wants and when he gets money he instantly goes out and gets what he can with the amount he has. My daughter on the other hand will normally just put her money into her piggy bank and hold onto it for a bit before going and spending it.

I have taught my children to wait for a bargain before they buy the items they are wanting. My children will look at the marked down toys to see if what they want is there. There are some items that never get marked down so they do pay full price for those but they comparison shop to know that they are getting the best price for their money.
