That avatar I posted (the read hear beside my user name) should be smiley and heart interchangeably. I noticed that it is not moving like other animated gif avatar. Why is it so? But in the my home page http://mylot.com/berryappleberry it is moving. Anyone can explain why? Thanks

berryappleberry's avatar - Animated avatar of berryappleberry
This is due to the overall size of the avatar being in excess of 60 X 60 pixels. An animated gif actually consists of several images which are displayed in rotation, so you need animation software to resize the images. I have seen many discussions by members who have encountered this problem, so I started a discussion myself a while back to explain this and offer my help to those members that required assistance. You will find the discussion at: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/963059.aspx Furthermore, I have resized your avatar for you.

Thankyou for the best response, and the kind words from both of you. It is very easy to modify an animated gif if you have the right software, so it would be wrong for me not to offer assistance to someone.

Yes, I agree. Asylum, I have rated positive for you. You not only had solution to her problem but you actively offered solution as well. Such behavior always makes me very happy. No one else deserves best response more than you for this discussion.

you'll have to change the resolution of your avatar and make it 60x60 or 50x50 pixels, only these work on my lot. I had the same problem and then I got this avatar and now it works fine. I don't know how to change the resolution of the avatars, but maybe you could choose one with that resolution.
