How old is your son? what is he good at? He should try to find something that he loves to do and look for opportunities to earn from it. I don't think that having part time jobs is really bad for students, its just that they will have to balance their time with their studies and work as compared to full time students who only thinks on their studies. But I know of a lot of working students who still got good grades even though their time to study is only limited.

Does big words really have an affect on how much we earn? I don't really use them a lot, I think the point of having a discussion is so that people can express themselves and respond to comments. Poor child, he is experiencing discrimination and rejection at a young age. Have you ever tried talking to the sub teacher? When I was still in college, I worked as a student assistant. I don't know if you can exactly call that a part time job, but we were getting paid per hour that we spent maintaining and manning the computer labs in the campus. Now that I am working I still got myself a part time job as an insurance agent since I need the extra income to support my family.
