That is a scary situation and I think that more should indeed be done of course. I think that the Drug trade is good for the economy there. I think that it is sad that it is so hard to catch and deal with these people. I think that if Mexico did more to control these sorts that their tourism would go up and earn them more money. I have had friends who have gone to Mexico only to be robbed o...

Yes the old testament for us Jews. hah Anyway I never wanted to believe those stories anyway. I always thought that it contradicted all that I had learned in faith and so to me the Old Testament- The Torah and that made no difference to me. I saw it as a story for the times. Those times people WERE barbaric so the idea that God had been barbaric was believable to them. A person can not begin to...

Well I have read that there is a lot of police corruption in Mexico. Often times this happens when the country isn't doing enough to help their own people. Like in Russia. Often authorities are corrupt because it is how they are able to survive when they don't get enough or regular pay. Also I have a tendency to believe that Mexico government really doesn't give a crap about what their people ...

"They need to ask themselves why so many of its citizens are fleeing the country or turning to illegal activities to earn income." Why should the government care about all these things? For them it has been working out pretty well and why change? They lose citizens temporarily but I think for them it doesn't matter. They aren't suffering for it. If the US cracked down and started really seri...

WOW atacamaval How can you say this? Even I as a European know that you are wrong. You can not compare your situation to a person in a whole different country. That laura Ingalls stuff was written soooo long ago and NO that can not be duplicated in life now in this time period. I can not believe you would say that either. It strikes me your comments. You see the theory of economics I guara...

The economic problem here is indeed big but still people in Netherlands have less unemployment than most EU countries. The problem that rules the social assistance program are often also illegals or immigrants from north africa or turkey that come and get on the welfare. The asylum people are the poverty people mostly from what I see and that is they have no training for jobs. The food co...

It makes sense that the social system should be there to help people who are trying to help themself. I agree that any social system that rewards people for being a burden is obviously failing. It doesn't make sense to prefer those that are illegal, popping out babies, making a career out of being on assistance and or won't work.... I have no real place to say in USA matters but I would certa...

It is probably cheaper to buy food in Germany than here. This is an expensive country indeed and I can not argue that at all. Mostly where I see the people on assistance living is in the purpose built flats neighbourhoods that are full of crime and scary to go through. Like in Amsterdam, near the Pretoriusstraat. I don't know of people on assistance living richly. Many live with a lot of peop...
