| my activity | | skybitscom has had no activity for the last 60 days. | | | | Would love to make friends here. Here is some info about me. First I want to say that the picture with Pegasus flying in the universe, is my inspiration for the name skybits. It means the open sky has infinite creative ideas as wide as the universe of computer bits. The sky reaching universe is always infinately open to your creative ideas no matter what they are, is another way of saying it :)
I live in Cleveland, but was born in Tennessee. I am a 1980 high school graduate of Elyria High here in northeastern Ohio. I went to college several times starting 1981 in nursing at LCCC, but did not finish that program due to no support system.
I began studying computer operations in 1983 at CCC West location, but did not finish that program.
Then in 1985 began a program at TTI studying electronics, telecommunications, and robotics, which I loved with a passion. Was not able to secure a job without any experience and the school leads did not work out. I still owe those studen loans today and probably will for the rest of my life.
In 1989 began college courses in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis in programming, mainly COBOL on a Honeywell mainframe. Also remote login to an IBM mainframe for CICS in the advanced course. Took many extra computer classes such as Word, spreadsheets, and AutoCAD. Job ads always requested a Bachelor's, so after graduation, I ended up working building systems, tech support, etc. Now I want to revive programming again, but time is real hard to come by in order to be successful. I don't have the money to focus very long on it, while trying to figure out where the next dollar will come from.
Beginning in 1990, learned every little hardware bit and byte from a great mentor, Tom Louttit. Began building PC and server systems, helping people in the computer labs, and continually learning everything technical about computers that I could get my hands on.
After graduation worked several contracts installing, configuring, monitoring, on-site or phone technician, etc. Today continuing my studies on line learning and getting involved in all the latest Internet craze, and how technology in many facets are used in everyday life all around the world now.
I'm looking for projects and work joining sites like www.odesk.com for instance. Have not made anything there yet though with direct one on one competition with people in other countries who accept less pay.
Trying to keep up pace by studying many sites on video editing, social networking, Internet marketing, blogging and much more. Right now studying more programming again too, including the videos at http://www.asp.net/learn/videos to create some websites for all my various skybits sites. There is so much new going on all the time. I get so excited to learn more like a kid in a candy store :) | | | | | There are no comments on skybitscom’s profile.
