Interesting topic. I think too many people go overboard, and spend too much money, on 16th birthdays and other special birthdays. I think the best parties are the ones with just close friends and family. Besides, you have too grand of a party, too many people come just for free food and entertainment.

Thanks for your advice. I'm working with four year olds and one of the children turned five on Halloween, but he is ESL and missed the kindergarten cutoff date anyway.
