How do you teach a boy to stand up and pee?

As a single mom of a 3 year old boy who sits and pees, I would like to know the answer to this question. Any particulars too, like is he too young yet, should I wait a year or so to try to teach him that aspect? Thanks!

stuffystuff Well put him outside and when he says "Mommy I have to pee" then pull down his pants in front of a bush and have him pee.
