 LIL, not all of these militias are like the ones that you are talking about. I live close to Michigan, and the Michigan militia does scare many people in this area. They have very extreme views, and in some parts of the state, power in local governments. They also are heavily armed.

This bill makes many single men who are afraid of commitment happy, and many lawyers upset. I see no need to repeal this, and I think the state of Texas will now be known as the state of single men afraid of commitment, and the population will explode. |

We all know that hospitals and insurance companies ration health care right now, and this is just another example of it. I do find it funny that republicans have "seen the light" that we actually DO have a problem with our health care. For decades republicans have ignored the pleas of Americans and have taken tens of millions in donations from the health care industry to keep the status quo.

This reminds me of when terrorist kill people, and we expect EVERY Muslim leader to stand up and denounce every action. Why don't we ask religious leaders to do the same when some crazy right winger misuses scripture to preach hate, and threaten the life of our president?

X, I do understand that militias are legal, but it is also legal to be a Nazi, a KKK member, and a member of the Aryan Nation. Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it is acceptable.
