I've had the same problem and find it very rude. I've also had the bland responses like, "Thank you" or "Nice to hear". Then there's the people who post something controversial just to get responses and never engage anyone who posts to their discussion. Personally I like a good discussion and a good debate. It's always interesting to read other people's opinions, even if I don't agree with them.

I've posted several discussions with topics that would ensure a good debate. Unfortunately many of them have died out because of rude or ignorant responses made to so many of the people who were trying to have a good debate with me and each other. That sounds like a very interesting career choice! I'm currently pursuing my BSBA in Business Administration with a concentration on marketing and project management. I have 2 years left until I complete my degree and I'm anxious to finish. I plan to go on to pursue my master's degree afterwards. I know what you mean. I work for two different companies and go to college full time, which can make it very difficult to find time for everything some times. There have been many times when I wondered if I could keep doing it all, school, work, family...it's not easy!

I find it funny in a "desparate for more media coverage" way that Obama has been playing this game with announcing his pick for VP. I also find it sad that he's chosen to text message the notification first...what of his supporters who can't afford a cell phone or computer access to get word...are they not entitled to know at the same time as the rest???
