It's interesting that the Chanel commercials are now too "sophisticated" to mention price. Probably many of its wearers are not that price sensitive. Still, I don't see anything wrong with listing prices in commercials -- it lets the consumer decide right then and there if the product is something he or she can afford. It thus makes the commercial more informative and useful. No matter how much like a movie the new commercials are like, I don't think they're going to convince people to spend more on perfume than they can afford.
