I actually like writing more than speaking verbally too, though I do both every day. I can definitely relate to feeling more comfortable with verbal communication with certain people whereas I can pretty much write to anyone anywhere anytime. Based on other frequent writers I know, I think it's actually pretty normal for people who've spent a fair amount of time writing in their lives to feel more comfortable with a keyboard or a pen, although I bet if you count the hours up I've spent loads more time talking than I have writing. (That gap may be narrowing, though, because I write so much more online these days!).
