That's a good thing too considering all the allergies and negative reactions people have to common foods. Lactose intolerance is exceedingly common (this blog post says 50% of Americans have it...which shocks me as an American!), but those who have it don't need to feel like they "need" milk. | mrsctb7 (78) | 5 months ago | At the ripe age of 51, I've learned that I am lactose intolerant! One thing that helps me is taking a small cup of Dannon Activia yogurt each morning, controls the upset stomach and any bloating. Gee, when I was a little girl, I would drink 2-3 glasses of whole milk, eat cheese, and others things with no problem! It wasn't until I went away to college that I started noticing problems. It's a good thing, though, that I like that yogurt!
