When the losing streak reached 8 Monday night after a horrifying loss to the Pirates, I didn’t think things were going to get better anytime soon.
Yesterday, the Cubs, in my opinion anyways, lucked out that the game was called after 6 innings due to rain and not risk getting into the bullpen, winning 6 to [...]

Chicago is only 4 games back. They can get on a long winning streak and get back to the top of the division. Right now they're having problems with both their pitching and hitting. They're 10th in the national league in both categories. Derrick Lee and Aramis Ramirez have to get their bats going. They're both power hitters whose power numbers are down this year. And the rotation has been a disappointment. Zambrano, Dempster and Harden all have E.R.A.'s over 4. Those guys need to start getting their acts together too if Chicago is going to make a run. The good news is that it's only May so there is still time to turn it around. The bad news though is to paraphrase Yogi Berra, "it can get late, early." Chicago can't afford to fall any further back if they are to have any chance of catching St. Louis and Milwaukee. I'll be interested to see if Chicago makes any trades this year. They go Harden last year so do they get anyone this year.

I have been a Cub fan since I was very little and I have seen many ups and downs i think our time is coming but management is going to have to get off their rear ends and start paying money for the better players. I would also love to see Ryno come coach for the Cubs. Our time is coming I just hope it's soon.
