PS3 Slim in Production? |
|

Apparently, Hon Hai Precision Industry Company Ltd. has been awarded a contract for a “hardware variation of the PlayStation3” and the report, according to IGN, states that “the new hardware will be a smaller, lighter version” of the system.

1. dookie03 (680) | 6 months ago | Ya know i wouldn't be a bit surprised. But for the price these days of a system, i'm gonna stick it out with my PS3 until the thing simply falls apart or breaks somehow. They're just getting so rediculusly expensive just to play video games. Plus games have even gotten more expensive.

I think the PS3 looks good in the living room, however, it is a little large and heavy compared to the smaller set top boxes that it sits upon. Sony obviously have the ability to do it, as they are the leader in hardware, they just need to make it with a suitable price tag and a suitable marketing scheme. Not all my friends have PS3s since they have been put off with the price, hopefully the PS3 "Phat" will drop down in price and the "Slim" will use the price tag that the current PS3s have. I certainly hope so anyways:)

I am still looking for it though but I don't think that it is authentic because why would Sony release the slim PS3 in the Philippines and another thin is.. it was on a local store.. Could be a chinese rip-off.

SomeCowgirl (8415) | 3 months ago | We have a friend that has a PS3, I doubt he'd want to buy a new one, especially with us knowing a person who could most likely repair it if his broke, but We'll definitely be telling him about this. I, myself, prefer the slimmer systems to the bulkier ones as the slimmer systems are easier to store.
