The very first thing I do when I get a new beacon is try to conduct a search without reading the user manual. Now to some extent I’m already somewhat familiar with the beacon design from what I’ve read beforehand. But I feel that the ability to use a beacon without any user manual familiarity is a good test of the inherent ease-of-use of the design.
