People in the United States are aging; the over 65 year old population is growing and will continue to grow as the baby boomers move through the stage. According to statistics, in 2006, there were 37 million Americans who were over 65 – representing 12% of the population. This number is expected to jump from 37 million to 71.5% by 2030. Unfortunately, many seniors have health issues or problems that are missed or not identified properly, making life more difficult than it need be.
