The new leader of the Senate Conservatives is drawing the ire of the good ol' boys in the Senate's aristocracy. The likes of Trent Lott and Mitch McConnell are warning (or perhaps threatening) the first-term Senator from South Carolina not to overplay his hand after he spearheaded the defeat of the Amnesty bill and proceeded to declare war on Harry Reid over earmarks reform. It's a very interesting case study of how our Legislative branch works and the various factions that exist there....
