I agree...that does seem like an unfair way to account for late fees. I think the due date on those types of bills is always so speculative. I mean we don't have control over the mail! You could have mailed something 3-4 days before it was due and the post office still might not get it there in time.

There are many bills that I pay online, but I few that I must still mail and and I always worry about those bills getting to where they need to be on time. I sometimes even call to make sure they are recieved.
