what is buffering & streaming????

i am always asked for streaming and buffering while downloading video songs, why it is required, am i able to watch the videos after disconnection of internet.
in case of mp3 songs i have never encountered any problem.
please tell me howi can download video songs.

u cant see them after u disconnect.
If u use firefox,use video downloader addon to download streaming video.
