Is God part of us or are we part of God?

I'm sorry to say it's a nice play of words, but in my point of view it's a bit of a waste of mind. In unity there is no difference. In unity the One is. All the questions you ask are just like throwing rocks in the water and expect the water to become still at the same time.

How can there be a universe if you are not a part of it? (How can it exist for you (how can it be real for you), without you?)

The moment you know about it, it is a part of you. Now your, let's say bigger universe, just got bigger, because you know of one more universe. All universes are a part of you.

And at the same time you are a part of them. Why do you isolate yourself from the universe? This universe causes you to act helplessly, does it not? You cannot exist in it if you do nothing. You are a part of it. If all this universe suddenly became barren and you couldn't find any food you would die. What would you do if the Sun stopped giving light? You are a part of it definitely.

The mind's ability is isolation. To build concepts. So you can name objects. That's why you can say this is green, this is a table etc... The mind can divide. But beyond the mind there is something else, where words fail. But it can be experienced. It is the Self. But the Self is beyond the words.

The great Nisargadatta Maharaj advised one stays with the feeling of "I", and track its source. Who am I is the big question. But it's answer is not the words.

Do your words carry an energy? If they are meaningless they probably don't. (No offense intended). But can words express something? They mean something when you 'read' them. (Or hear them.) When you are a part of them. Not when they stay inactive on a piece of paper. (Technically they will still be a part of your universe, because you see, we had to 'invent' paper now, where words could exist without 'you', which is supposed to mean the 'ego'. Everything is always connected.)

I suggest you practice meditation. Or you can pick up a book or two by Ramana Maharishi or J. Krishnamurti. I hope this helps:) And if it sounds too dogmatic, it's because it comes from an experience. Absolute Reality is not a tale.
And LOVE is not an empty word.

What you imagine is part of you, not you part of what you imagine. We are part of God, because we all depend on him for every good thing in life. Our universe is just a word to God.

everything in this world is part of God..He created us all, so we are part of Him.

It's all I think our belief. I do believe in God. I think every person is a representative of God. If you love Human, never hurt a human knowingly, you worship God. God is the power to do anything. We have God in ourselves whatever religion you believe, but God is always in you, in me.
