What is your favorite song from The Sound of Music  |

 I really love watching The Sound of Music even though I know the story backwards, forwards, inside out, upside down and just about any way you can possibly think. My dad always loved to hear the Reverend Mother singing 'Climb Every Mountain' and it is one of my favorite songs too. Since she was a baby my daughter Chrystal has watched Julie Andrews and is a real fan of hers. Chrystal is 18 now and Harry Potter is all the rave. What do you lot like to watch?

| 1. Psychic_WannaBe (73) | 1 year ago |  Oh! This is really a tough question! The songs from this musical are all so beautifully written and sung! I have the same taste as your dad! I was deeply touched when I heard the Rev Mother sings 'Climb Every Mountain' for the very first time. It's written by very simple words by this song carries a great meaning. But of course, 'The Sound of Music', 'Maria', 'I Have Confidence', 'My Favorite Things', 'Something Good', 'Edelweiss' and 'Lonely Goatherd' are great too!
I have to said that I really like this musical, I watched it for like 20 times! lol

2.  Withoutwings (4668) | 1 year ago |  I have always liked the goat song... "High on a hill was a lonely goat..." At one point when we were young my brothers and I had to share a room. My brothers shared the bottom bunk and I had the top bunk. And the living room was right outside my door. I would sing that song really quiet - and my middle brother would start laughing. MY mom would always come in and yell then - but I did it almost every night.

3.  laila675 (207) | 1 year ago |  wow, i guess it will be hard for me to choose my favorite from the sound of music. all songs from this movie are simply great, if i start from entrance song until to the finale. That's how I love this movie. But I find it enchanting the farwell so long, at the party and when they are about to escape. it make me fell watching it AGAIN tonight:)

4.  writermom8 (213) | 1 year ago |  Hmmm, when I first watched that movie, "Sixteen going on Seventeen" caught my fancy. Perhaps it was the notion of young love that tickled my romantic side. I was around 10 that time I think LOL
But I really love a lot of the songs and it's hard to choose just one. Climb Every Mountain has such meaningful lyrics while Edelweiss is so soothing and mellow I usually sing it as a lullaby when my sons were still babies. My Favorite Things is so cheerful and positive that I like singing it when I'm in a happy mood:)
