Kids not in a car seat? Report them!!!  |

 OK, so it always drives me crazy when I see someone driving around with small kids not in a car seat. How on earth can you just let your kids roam around the car and hang out the windows! This is not safe! So I foudn out how to go about reporting the offenders when it happens.
Take down the license plate number and call to report it plus where you are and when it happens. That way the police can send a car out to look for the car.

 webbmommy (614) | 1 year ago | It is against the law here as well. It is under 5 feet tall and 80 pounds here. I have 3 kids and they all ride in car seats, including my oldest who is almost 8 now. She is in just a booster like you described. It is ridiculous to me how people can't watch out for their child's safety. A simple act of sitting them in their seat abd buckling them in. It takes all of 30 seconds, and that 30 seconds could save their child's life!

 phonevolts (674) | 1 year ago |  Your welcome. Yes i dont understand why some parents can't strap their kids into a seat belt, it doesn't even take 30seconds and can save their life. They have enough time to put their own seat belt on but not their childs.

2.  rusty2rusty (2275) | 1 year ago |  I beleive kids should be in car seat as well. I have seen many women hold babies or toddlers instead of placing them in a seatbelt.
Just the other day a wreck happened on. One vehicle was coming from a soccer game. They were broadsided. Two many people were in the vehicle that was broadsided. No one was in seatbelts and the kids were not in carseats. All the kids and one baby died. One adult died as well but the rest was in crital condition.
I think car seats and seatblets are critical to save people lives.

3.  Sacrificialclam (4496) | 1 year ago |  Children do belong in car seats, but I do not agree with them being over 4'9 to be able to ride without one. Some women and men never get over that height. Guess they need booster seats the rest of their lives.

 Amstardam (703) | 1 year ago |  I agree! I cannot believe the laws these days. The law also states something about them being 13 before they ride in the front seat! WHAT? Three years before they start driving themselves? If airbags are so dangerous, take them out. I don't want anything to do with them and their "safety."

Women would be holding newborns in the front seat. Of course since I was at work I couldn't scream "Are you crazy". Anyway thanks for this information.

But everytime we come up with another way to be "safe" we have to have another way to protect us from that. If airbags are so unsafe then TAKE THEM OUT...I don't want anything in my car that can take the life of my child. I also don't want my 13 year old sitting in the back of the car in a booster seat! That's so stupid. I understand little children, but not to the point that the law states these days. | |
