Potatoes Those ugly sprouts!  | |  Every second day when I go in the pantry to get potatoes I see 1/2 inch spouts. These are new,since the day before I had snipped all the sprouts off. This is a vexing thing. HOw can I stop the sprouts from starting. I buy enough potatoes (in a 10 lb bag) that will do us for the week.They are stored in a cool pantry.No matter what I try the sprouts always come back.
