Barbaro's full brother born  | |  LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro now has a second full brother.
Barbaro's mother, La Ville Rouge, gave birth to the 148-pound bay colt at 2:08 a.m. Friday, according to Mill Ridge Farm. The farm is also home to Barbaro's other full brother, a yearling recently named Nicanor.
La Ville Rouge and Dynaformer, a stallion who fetches a $150,000 stud fee at nearby Three Chimneys Farm, were scheduled to mate again later this spring, Mill Ridge director of sales Bayne Welker said in February.
Barbaro was euthanized Jan. 29 after complications from his gruesome breakdown at last May's Preakness.

But as a technical man I think it is very very rare to have same set of genes from both the parents even though the new born Colts parents are same. Such thing can only happen in identical twins or in the clones!Thus to say that though the Colt is full brother to Barbaro he may or may not be like him! It isvery rare to see two brothers in the same family are having same qualities. This is because of 'Independent Assortment' of genes while producing gametes by the parents where by the genes are throughly shuffled before transfering them to the offspring, thus making the probablity of having the same set of genes by two individuals, though they are from same parents becomes very remote! In simple neither Eiensteins father nor his son was like Eienstein! Hw was unique! Well inspite of all this let us hope for best! We may have a much better horse than barbaro from the same parents!
