 hmmm.... a lot of people said that 90% of long distance relationships doesn't work at all.. only 10% of them are cool... so you guy's think it's true? to tell you guys honestly, my girlfriend just left for the states last last week.. we're still in good terms right now... but I'm just worried... you know.. for how long can we stand up? what you think? i need your response guys... and please, tell me what you think that is cool for us to work it out... thanks... have a nice day!!!

I am not saying you're wrong, but I think it was written assuming that everyone needs to be "checked up on" because eventually they will cheat for whatever reason. I disagree with that - not everyone is as shallow as that.
It appears to me that the original poster (sorry I can't see your ID here) and his girlfriend have a very strong bond. He said he trusts her and he is obviously committed to her as well. I see no indication that being apart will cause either of them to become something they're "not" and begin cheating no matter how long they are apart.

We fell in love that way, we fell in love with eachother's personalities, then we met and fell in love all over again! Now he's in Arizona and I'm in Ontario because of work and family situations. We are long distance for now, but our love grows every day. I think, whether or not something like that is going to work, depends completely on the individuals and what they are willing to do for eachother.

I would imagine that if you are used to being together, though the distance would be hard as well, you'd have a motivation to be together, because if you broke up, you'd already know what you were missing, whereas my boyfriend and I dind't know what it was like, at first, to be together, and we had to get to know eachother without actually knowing eachother. | |

I believe that absense makes the heart wonder not grow fonder. I know space sometimes is a good thing but if you are not seeing your partner for months and months then you will eventually grow apart.
