What was the first Stephen King movie that you watched? |
|
The first Stephen King movie that I had seen was "It". I watched it over at a friend's house.
She was having a slumber party, and had 4 other girls over plus me and my sister. I was about 10 or 11 and I remember laying there on her living room floor with the other girls after the movie. And thinking that I saw that evil clown looking in the window at me. It freaked me out. Needless to say, I was to scared to go to sleep that night.
Then I watched it again in my 20's with my husband, and it was so not scary and some what on the cheesy side. It still is a great movie!

1. Willowlady (8982) | 3 years ago | I think that it was the movie It also. I remember the one movie more though about the huge rat in the factory. That would a good one and cannot remember the name. All of Stephen Kings movies have been great on screen. The Stand, Thinner, Sleepwalker, Tommyknockers, Dreamcatcher all all good to own on Dvd. We have them and visit them fairly frequently.

deesamps (469) | 3 years ago | I have seen the movies Thinner, The Stand and Tommyknockers. In fact I got Tommyknockers for my husband for Christmas. He is a HUGE Stephen King fan. They were very good. I have also seen the movies Rose Red, The Green Mile and It.

3. aeriadensice (207) | 3 years ago | Yes!! Mine was the movie "It" too. I was in elementary during that time when my older sister and I went to rent some videos and we saw this movie IT. My older sister has read books of Stephen King that's why we rent it. We had a movie marathon, and the last one we watched was this movie... Well, it really scared me a lot. After watching the movie, I was afraid to go to the bathroom alone and I had a few nightmares too. But when I watched it again years later (highschool days), I wasn't afraid anymore... Ahihihi.. But still it's a great movie, and one of Stephen King's best!!^_^ I haven't read the book though, but if ever I found it on Book Sales, I'll definitely read it.^_^

6. eeseharden (291) | 3 years ago | "It" was my first Stephen King movie as well. I read the book first and then watched the movie. I was expecting to be disappointed because the book is always better to me than the movie and I thought they would never be able to give the book justice in a movie. I was wrong. It was a very good scary movie and really did a good job on it.

7. twbigdogsgirl (1027) | 3 years ago | I would have to say it was "Carrie". That is Stephen King's very first movie and I was addicted to him even before the movie came out. I have almost every movie he has ever made as well as almost all of the books.

8. fawcey (429) | 3 years ago | The first movie I ever saw was The Dark Half I think. It is hard as I have seen so many of his movies and read so many of his books. The first story of his I ever read was The Mist which was in a collection of one of his short stories. My husband and I love him totally, our book shelf and video/dvd shelves are full of his works. Our favourites would have to be It, The Stand, Needful Things, Dreamcatcher,Sleepwalkers, Carrie, Firestarter, The Shinning, Desperation,Misery, actually all of them.

Have you read King as Richard Bachman, fawcey? The Long Walk, etc.

9. Transdisc (18489) | 3 years ago | I'm not sure, deesamps. It was either 'Salem's Lot or Carrie. I think that it was 'Salem's Lot. When I watch it now, some of it is kinda' hokey or staged, but it still manages to give me the creeps.

10. elizabethbathory (549) | 3 years ago | Hmm. That's a tough one, but the earliest memory I have of a Stephen King movie is Salem's Lot, which goes to show how old I am. I distinctly remember being scared senseless when the newly-made vampire boy went to visit his brother in the middle of the night. There he was, scratching at the window, begging to be let in.
