What is the most fun thing you have done to surprise your children?

Since summer is comming I thought this might be a way for us to find different things to do with our kids.

When my oldest daughter was in second grade, I decided to surprise her one day. I spent most of the day filling up water balloons. I put them in buckets all around the outside of the house, I had to have had at least 10 5 gallon buckets full, and her little wading pool was overful.

My brother knew what was going on and met her down at the bus stop to walk her home. I hid around the corner of the house and when she got close enough I threw one at her feet. She jumped for a sec till she realized what it was. She came running into the yard spied one of the buckets grabbed a balloon and hit my brother with it.

Soon we had most of the neighbor kids playing too. It was the best time we ever had. She is almost in 9th grade now and she still talks about that day very fondly.
