1950's or 1960's maybe even late 1970's pull string talking popeye doll

my name is alyssa jaime email alyssaj127@yahoo.com i was wondering if any body out there could help me find this doll or even just send me in the right way my hubby had one when he was 2yrs old his grandmother bought for him lost in a houes fire we was told that mattle was the maker then found out that gund was the maker he is very hard to track down have looked on ebay and every were under the moon there is a wind up doll that he looks like and gund is also the maker there has to be one out there if any body could please help me it would be a blessing i have some info if any body thanks they could help me money no problm just wanna get one thank you
