1. ushavaishnav (8287) | 3 years ago | If you are talking about extra marital affairs then it does amount to cheating. If you are doing it with your boy friend when single then you are free. But after marriage it should not happen.

muscles4me (8552) | 7 months ago | I agree with you. If you are not married and the other party is not married then neither one of you are in a to death do us part situation so it is not cheating.

2. everlasting (9961) | 3 years ago | Kissing, dating and spending time together is not cheating if you do not have a boy/girlfriend or wife/husband and the one you're with if free too. Kissing and dating others while you are married is considered cheating. If you do not want to be in that relationship, get out of it before going into another one. I think nobody wants to be cheated.

3. wolves69 (635) | 3 years ago | I think it would depend more on intent. I gotten hugs and even held hands in front of my wife without a second thought because she knew nothing would happen and she understood the customs of the other culture. However, if the intent is to spend more time and this the activities are "hidden" from your spouse, then I'd call it cheating.

4. psyche49f (2200) | 3 years ago | I don't find it cheating unless you're married, and you kiss someone else at the same time. . is this what you mean? Your discussions does not specify. When you're single and unattached, I don't see any reason that the acts you mentioned constitute cheating.

5. sigma77 (4282) | 3 years ago | I would say any physical contact other than a hello or goodbye hug or hand shake is cheating. Spending lots of time together is also cheating, but that depends on the reasons. If it is by personal choice, yes it is. A peck on the cheek is ok, but their are limits. I don't think there are specific rules for this. But if your partner is elsewhere and not paying attention to you, there might be something in the wind.

7. linzmcwilliams (1121) | 3 years ago | I think kissing and holding hands are definately cheating. People hug their friends all the time so i wouldn't consider that to be cheating and spending a lot of time with someone isn't a crime.

8. GardenGerty (20238) | 3 years ago | Yes, I do think all of those things are cheating. Just because they are not the actual sexual act does not mean they do not take something from a relationship. A couple needs that time and closeness, and if you start sharing it elsewhere, it leads you into lots of tempataions.

10. samtaylorskykierajen (5847) | 3 years ago | It is considered cheating if the person you are with is not comfortable about this type of relationship one is having with their friends . When you have a spouse you have to take the time to look at is as they might look at it, if the shoe was on the other foot . The truth is if it bothers your mate then why would you have to kiss someone else, hold hands or even hug them, one can still maintain a healthy relationship without doing any of these things . If spending time is a problem then a suggestion could be made to include your spouse when you got together with a friend and see if maybe they don't have interests in common . No one wants to appear jealous but if you are spending more time and hugging and kissing someone else then you do lead into a problem of jealously and hurt feelings .
