My husband picks up every penny he sees (and can get to) he says that at work some of the guys come back from buying their lunch and just throw their pennies in the air to land where they will. 1.  samtaylorskykierajen (5847) | 3 years ago |  I am like your husband and will pick up anything that someone else has thrown away . A penny may not mean much but if you throw all your pennies away they would add up and I don't believe in wasting money no matter what it is .
We work on here everyday for pennies a day yet we all still do it and we also see how in a short period of time our pennies can add up, not enough to ever make us rich by any means but we do earn money each month to say we made something:)

2.  zandyne (112) | 3 years ago |  Sometimes I do pick pennies off the ground when I'm bored, but only if it is convenient to do so. For instance, it may be pretty embarrassing to pick a penny up if there are a lot of others around you.
I don't think people should be throwing pennies carelessly, it really all adds up over time!

I do not realize it myself until after I find and give her the penny or two I was digging for. | |

Actualy no luck at all in my life but I still pick them up. Odd. I am in Canada and I have picked up more USA pennies than I can count. (lol)

Last week, I picked up 3 dimes, 7 pennies, 1 dollar, and enough trash to fill a bag from the path the city built for Walkers. Its sad that people leave so much trash on the ground and there are trash cans along the path.

I always claim the money found in the washing machine after doing laundry as my tip... I keep a cup in the cabinet and place my "tip" money in there:) usually it is just nickels, dimes, and quarters...but sometimes there will be a bill or two in there. Everyone is told when they bring their laundry in "did you check your pockets" Yessss, yesssss, is the answer. So, okay - you checked them, you obviously intended this for me then. thank you thank you.

| 8. wildhorse (1089) | 3 years ago |  No one will throw away any money here no matter how small:) and of course there will be plenty of people to pick up whatever money anyone accidentally drops.
you see it's not only because of poverty (yes any coins can help people down here) but we think that throwing away money is bad luck and will make you lose much more money than you throw away, finding money is good luck even if if too small and will not do you any good, it's just that money is a blessing that we should never throw away or walk away from because you will never know when you will need it and will not come your way.
Of course I pick up any money I find but it's a rare thing to happen, maybe just 2 or 3 times a year:)
