Grammar Books

English grammer has always been my subject of fascination. I've tried very hard still sometimes I feel how little I've learnt.
However, in my school days I've read the English grammer of P. K. De Sarkar. It was the best book available in the market at the prevailing time. It was studied from generation to generation and the book just passed from the grand father to the grand son.
During my graduation days my interest to know the English language intensified and I started reading the G. C. Nesfield's Grammer. It is awesome. The two appendixes appended to the book, the structure of a sentence and the structure of a paragraph changed my conception of the English language and the grammer forever. I still have that book and its my one of the most covetted treasure.
Another book, which is the text book of British Civil Servants' title as ''The Complete Plain Words'' by Sir Ernest Gower has benefitted me much to write the simple and flawless sentence. The purpose of the communication. Whether the language written is comprehended by the reader in full or not at all?
