What is the toughest division in the NFL?  

What is the toughest division in the NFL? Is it the NFC East with its bitter rivalries, hall fame coaches, and talent riiden rosters? Or is it the AFC North with its smash mouth, hit you in the gut, ground and pound approach? Could it be the NFC South with its pool of young superstars who dazzell fans every week, and consistently give you what you would never expect to see on Sunday? Could the toughest division in football be the AFC West the answer is yes, the AFC West has been and continues to be the toughest division in the league. To play in week in and week out is a tall task for any team. This division boasts 2 of the top 4 running backs in the game and3 of the top 6 defenses in the NFL and has produced more hall of famers than more or you could ever imagine.

The Chargers have steadely made their way to the top of the league with a defense that smoothers opponents with scheme, talent, and speed. The Broncos ,as much as I hate admitting it, have become a formatable team year in and year out with a running attack that can produce pro bowl running backs out of middle school players and a defense with virtually no holes. The Cheifs "my favorite" through great managment and strong coaching keep coming back with more than competitve teams every year. And finally there is the Raiders, who even with a 2-14 record are better than their record would lead you to believe. This team had the 3rd ranked defense in the league even though the were on the field every week more than 5/8 of the game. The young fast secondary was lead by Stuart Schweigert who bolstered 107 tackles last year, with the help of Warren Sapp on the D Line and Krik Morrison at middle linebacker this defense would keep us in game after game despite our offense giving up more turnovers than you can count on a calculator. This combination of teams makes for a volital mix every sunday. And when the AFC West pits two of its teams against each other you know you are about to see a great game from start to finish.

This division has produced greats in every decade it has been around from Marcus Allen, to John Elway, Derrick Thomas, and Ladainin Tomilson. We had Junior Seau, and Howie Long, Jim Otto and Kellen Winslow Sr. Even the greatest coach of all time John Madden who won 75% of his games over ten years in this divison.

People on who dont watch this divison may not see it but the rivalries between these teams are so intense that 6 times a year each one of these teams play in what seems to be the biggest game of their lives. Broncos Vs. Raiders, Raiders Vs Cheifs, Chargers Vs. Broncos, basically any combination of these equals a bitter rivally with a lot of bad blood. If you put all the teams together a tournament with one team from each divison in each bracket i would be willing to bet that you would have an AFC west team come out of at least 3 of the four teams in the AFC west represent their brackett.
