How did you find Vogue Magazine?

I found Vogue thanks to one of my very good friends, who convinced me that it was the leader of defining current fashion. I read my first issue with Kira Knightly and read a nonfiction piece that was very personal, talking about making special brownies for a grandmother so she could feel less pain while going through cancer. It made me think more about being a writer, as shallow as that sounds. Now writing is so much more for me, but I would not mind writing for Vogue, though some of my English friends would probably laugh at me. I guess I won't care if I'm getting paid!
So how did you find Vogue? What was your first experience like?
