American Idol - Bon Jovi Night

I agree that Chris and Jordan had the weakest performances, but I don't think Jordin will be the one to go home tonight. I think it will defnitely be Chris and possibly Phil. Frankly, overall, these contestants did better than I expected them to with Bon Jovi. I especially like Lakisha and Melinda's performances last night and of course, Blake!

I responded to a comment instead of the discussion and didn't mean too. So here goes again. I used to be into watching american idol every season. This year has been disappointed for me so I haven't kept up. I did watch last night though and was impressed with blake and melinda. I have to say though that without his stage presence and noice making blake really couldn't cut it with just the vocals. It's what he can do with his vocals, the sounds, and the way he carries on on stage is what makes him so entertaining. His voice is not rally all that great. Melinda on the other hand I have been impressed with every time I have tuned in.
And Bon Jovi is still wow! I may watch tonight just to see him perform for sure.

Except for Chris and Jordin, everyone blew us away last night. Kiki gave us goose bumps. She was awesome. So was Melinda. Phil has finally found his voice. I just wish he'd grow his hair. Blake was innovative but if all he has is his voice, I don't think he's so good.

I hope Chris goes home tonight. It'll probably be Phil, too, but at this point I hate to see anyone go.

Blake was awsome. I never cared much for him but what he did last night really dazzled me=) I am sure that he will stay... i really hope that Jordin wont be going home, i just love her and this just wasnt her week. I didnt like lakisha at all - i liked her in the beginning but to me she is limited to gospel and some soul only...

I thought it was one of the best nights so far. In my opinion Blake rocked the house he is so unique and I love the way he made that song his own I hope to see him make it all the way.

For me, Phil's performance was very good, I loved it. And I agree that it wasn't Jordin's night, her performance was the worst among them all.

You called it but I think it was most certainly the wrong choice! I thought that Blake and Phil rocked it last night- I loved the recaps- Chris was even great too- Jordan stunk it up! She should have been one to go! I also was hoping that Lakesha would go too!

If Phil had sang Tuesday like he did Wednesday, he might not have been voted off. I have to say I was not too surprised but I was surprised. I think Jordin will be next to go.

I had a real tough time getting through it this week. Don't know what it was but I just found it painfully dull. I only got to see Phil, Jordin, and Lakisha's performances. Jordan was pretty awful I thought but still deserved ro stay based on previous performances. I have the show on TIVO and will probably watch it later.

I am way late in finding this discussion, but I remember that night of AI well. I loved Lakisha singing "This ain't a love song' and Melinda doing "Have a nice day" was awesome!!! Jordin got panned by a lot of people that night for "Livin on a prayer" but I thought she did okay. But the best of all was Lakisha really. I can still hear her singing that song in my head.
