Old photo albums of collage,school,childhood?

hey your discussion made me really nostalgic. I too had a similar experience and called up my friend. He then referred me to orkut since i was not aware of that site till then.

Now I do keep on searching orkut to keep on finding my old lost friends.

Keeping the phto albums of your school and college days are worth.

I found a treasure chest (old photo album of my grand father!) There were some 200 photos and all were in good condition.

By those photos I could trace my family tree to another faraway town and I even met one of my great grandfathers friend. That man is now 107(he cnnot be in the guinnes book because the oldst is 112 from china). he cant remember anything. But when I shown him the photograph, he understood my greatgrandfather. He was all tears.

I have the old photo albums of my school days, whenever i see it,it brings me the oldest memories of both joy and sorrow, its painful to see old friends who are not with you now.

so i usually keep it in a locker, open it sometimes if i am free and get the old memories, usually i don't want to remember the past but things were not the same ever.

You know what i toomiss my old school & college days.Specially the carefree school days.I have my full album of friends with me.whenever i miss them i see there photos.Many of whom are not connected with me though.but yes this things do make me very emotional.

Yes I do.We have the website friends reunited in the UK which you can go and hunt for old school friends on. I found quite a lot of people I used to know at school on there.Some I wrote to,some I just read about.
It brought memories flooding back.
I am a different person to the girl I was back then and now I see how some people were really friendly not aggressive like I thought.
It amazes me how differently we all see those same days.
On Wednesday on TV there was a documemtary about a private school and an inner city school.The children from one went to experience the life of the other for 2 weeks. I was amazed to see the inner city school was my old school. It felt very odd to see children from today that go to my old school and how they acted compared with the private school children but also I could understand their actions.
My husband was impressed that inner city kids could perform equally accademically with private school kids(he was privately schooled).
I think nostalgia can be a very powerful feeling.

My children and I often look through old photo albums together. They enjoy hearing stories of when their aunts and uncles were certain ages. Its fun to remember how things use to be when we were younger. I don't call up old friends however because I have kept in contact with the ones that really mattered to me.

haha.. i don't have many pictures of old schools.. and childhood.. i think i'm not a camwhore.. and i think i have less than 3 picture of any of it.. i know it's difficult for me to remember back my past.. but.. what can i do? i do wish i have more pictures of my past.. sometimes i really miss my past.. but i think human should look forward.. and don't think too much about the past.. that's how i feel things should be.. i think if i take out my old picture to talk with my friends.. we would have talk for hours by then.. haha=) .. we just love to spend our time talking..

i have many old albums,but they aren't in my house.last year i goen back to my hometown and saw my parents,when i help my parents to clean their house,i found lot of my schooldays albums,in my middle school life i was only 15 years old,i had many friends,but now i don't know most of them where to work,and have many years uncontact with them.so i am yarning the happy days with my friends in the middle school time.

I still have my old photo when I was little and gradute in elementary and high school.
I keep it in my travelling bag before I fly here in u.s.a so when I visit again to my country I still have it.
