How Old Were You???  

i started in middle school, i think thats a good age because thats when girls are going thru puberty and starting to lose their self esteem and gettng to experiement with makeup made me feel SO much better about myself. I'll let my daughter start to wear it in middle school too...maybe like 7th and 8th grade? I cant believe a 4 yr old was wearing make up tho, thats crazy! Its like sexual objectification of a very young child!

my mother didnt let me wear any kind of make-up until i turned 16yrs old. and then i could only wear foundation, powder, blush and mascara. and she showed me how to wear it so it looks NATURAL!! which in my opinion is the one talent young girls these days dont work on. they want to look like little hookers or fashion models with far too much makeup on for everyday use.

I agree,those little girls seem a bit young for wearing makeup. I'd be willing to bet that their probably into modeling. I was about 15 before I was allowed to wear makeup. I was only allowed to wear it "lightly". I don't think your hubby and you are being too strict! Although, you'll probably have a better ideal to what's right (wrong) when your daughter is a little bit older. I think a lot depends on the maturity of the child...

First time i went out with make up was 18 years old, my mom teach me how to wear make up, because i never wear it before that, i don't like wear make up, but now i like make up very much but i like the natural make up.
My mom want me to be a girl no boy like my brother.

My sister was around 13 when she'd try to sneak out wearing makeup and my parents were not happy about it. I was never interested in makeup and stuff like that. Why should I have to paint up my face just to impress people? I'm 25 and I've never worn makeup in my life, and I never will.

My mum would have been thrilled If I had wanted to wear make up at 16,she would have been showing me how to put it on etc.
I never have worn any and never will.
My daughter didn't wear any until this last year when she turned 16.
At school we had 2 girls who came into class aged about 14 with eye make up on. Everyone was sniggering all the way through the lesson because they looked so ridiculous.

haha..that's kinda awkward and unusual..I don't know I think that depends on the mother. But as far as I am concern, young age at that shouldn't wear make up yet, I mean not until they are grown up.

I had used make up during high school days only on special occasions and I don't apply any onto my face on regular days. It is only when I started wroking that I apply a little make up. yes, very little make up. Just an eyeliner and light blush on. In fact, I am not really into make up.

I don't use makeup. I couldn't be bothered to. I prefer to sleep in more than waking up earlier just to have time to use make up. Even now at 22 I haven't ever used make up yet. The only make up I use is lipbalms and ocassionally lip gloss.


The only time there was makeup on my face was because someone put it there like when I need to get ready for my sister's wedding or when I was my cousin's bride's maid.

there is no way i would allow my daughter to were make untill she is a teenager,she is 6 now and want t play with the stuff i tell her no not untill she`s older.
this lady should have allowed her kids t wear make up at their ages,they are far to young.
