I always associate Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and all the other friend characters as..FRIENDS! I love them all! And I always associate Elijia Wood as Frodo in Lord of the Rings...

John Wayne always played John Wayne. Christopher Reeve is Superman.Arnold and Sly play themselves in every action film that they do.With Robert Redford theybtried to type cast him as thr romantic lead, but he played all different types of roles.I just saw a supporting actor named Crispin Glover. He always plays the creepy loner.Now Anthony Hopkins is the villian since his Oscar winning role as Hannibal Lecktor.Hollywood tries to type cast their stars and it takes a strong willed actor or actress to break out and do something different.

This one is a little strange. Lol. Remember Kelly from Saved By The Bell?! Tiffany Amber Thiessan. I think that's how her last name is spelled. She was the sweetheart of Zack's for years. Then she started playing a "not so nice" girl of 90210. When she first started playing that role, I thought, Geez. No way will people be able to get off of the "Kelly" thoughts, and focus on this new role. But, oh boy! She did it. Now, everytime I see her, all I can see is the mean things she did/said on 90210. Even when I watch reruns of Saved By The Bell! Haha.

Other than that, Anthony Hopkins will always have that Hannibal "scary face" regardless of what role he plays. Silence of the Lambs was such a great movie, and all of the other's that proceded it that Anthony Hopkins played. I think he'll always be associated with those movies, and those types of roles.

I sometimes wonder whether Christopher Judge will be able to shake the Teálc character from "Stargate". It took Mr. Spok a very long time to shake his alien character typecasting from Star Trek.

In fact, just the other night my husband & I were joking about what is sure to be the most prominent talent on Chris Judge's resume: proficient in raising one eyebrow, and saying "Indeed".

The other actor that I think will always be known as his current character is Keifer Sutherland. How does one shed the skin of 'Jack'?
