Coffee drinkers at home ...do you have a your preferences? |
| |
| I'm a coffee addict and drink more than I like to even admit to. Although I would prefer to have Dunkin Donuts available at all times of the day, in reality I have to make my own here in my apartment. I have a drip coffee maker and I go through a couple of them a year since I'm so hard on them, but I love the aroma and even the noise that comes from the old fashioned percolator coffee pots. Plus with a percolator there's no need for filters. I also prefer to grind my own coffee beans and when their on sale I will buy a couple of bags at Dunkin Donuts. Opening the fresh bag of coffee beans for the first time is such a pleasure for me because it always smells so good. There's something missing when I open a container of ground coffee, even though it still has that fresh aroma the beans always have a little something more as far as I'm concerned. Do you drink coffee at home? Do you prefer a drip coffee maker or percolator? How about coffee beans or ground coffee from a can? Do you think I'm too fussy as far as my coffee? I don't! I know what I like! | | Coffee Beans | | | | |

| | I have a large cafetierre which is always in action here. I love my fresh ground coffee and the first thing in the morning I fill the kettle and get the coffee out. I have my coffee for breakfast with a couple of warm croissants, and the cafetierre is always ready to top up my caffiene levels. | | | | | | |

| | I've heard of and seen things called cafetierre and other names like that and some day I'm going to get one. I've never been into capacino (sp) and other types of coffees but that's not saying that I wouldn't like them. It sounds like your another coffee buff too though. | | | |

| | I also love coffee very much i don't take it so much frequently. I take it in the weekends when i go to relax in the garden. When i sit in my garden i really think about the flora and fauna of the garden and take a great sip of my coffee. Mostly i prefer coffee from can because i am a bit lazy in making my own coffee. So i really know what i like and i think you really know what you like. | | | | | | |

| | I was pretty much addicted to coffee for a long time but here recently, I really don't drink alot of it. We have a bun coffee maker. We had alot of regular coffee makers in the past but the hard water in our area runied them and would not the water run through it. We tried to clean them out with CLR but even that didn't work. The bun coffee maker doesn't plug up and we haven't had to replace it yet either. I like the smell of coffee also. I still drink coffee every day but not as much as before. I prefer using the bun because of the hard water issue. I use ground coffee but have used beans in the past a few times. I don't think your too fussy over your coffee. I think you have good standards, is all it is. | | | | | | |

| | I've heard a lot of good things about Bunn coffee makers and I think I should check them out because of the hard water issue here. It seems like I'm always cleaning out my coffee maker and I make a big job of that using white vinegar and trying to be as thorough as I can so it doesn't clog up. | | | |

| | Oh Dunkin Donuts is SO good! But, since I'm broke, I have to go with the el-cheapo, generic brand from the local grocery store. I love the smell (French Vanilla or Columbian) but the taste just doesn't compare. Someday when I'm rich, it'll be Dunkin's all the way... | | | | | | |

| | I will admit to how much coffee I drink. Myself alone I drink maybe 3 pots minimum daily. It's been this way ever since I sobered up 16 years ago. Prior to that I drank maybe a pot a week. I use a drip maker and I also go through at least one a year due to over extended use of it. I buy canned coffee at Sams as it's cheaper tyhan beans seeing I drink so much also. I want a perculator but the wife prefers not to have one. I keep telling her I want the 50 cup model perculator so I don't have to make so many pots during the day. Hahahaha! I don't use milk and sugar eiother. I use only Coffee Mate French Vaniila flaoverd dairy additive. I love the taste of it in my coffee. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~ | | | | | | |

| | Yes, a man after my own heart! When my Dad "sobered up" he just about lived on coffee and I noticed that a lot of people who quit drinking do the same thing. Maybe it's all those AA meetings? I once went on a Coffee Mate French Vanilla binge until I got sick of the taste! Now I take it straight! | | | |

| | I don't drink a lot of coffee anymore. But when I do, it has to be from coffee beans that I have ground myself, and they have to be certain flavors. I have a regular coffee maker that requires filters. And I swear the thing talks. If I got a new one, it wouldn't be the same. LOL I definitely think we both could be classified as "coffee snobs". | | | | | | |

| | Nothing wrong with being fussy about what you like. I prefer Tim Horton's over Dunkin' Donuts coffee, but that is me. I mainly drink instant at home and usually only 1 or 2 cups a day and maybe a cup of tea. Maybe one day, I will get a good coffee maker and try some more exotic brands. The fresh aroma of coffee is almost addictive...lol. | | | | | | |

| | I go out and by one pound of coffee beans of a brand and type that I like. Then I grind some beans and put them in the filter of my drip coffee maker. I love the sound! I am alway very happy when the coffee is ready. I have two cups each in the morning and afternoon. In the afternoon I usually have a piece of cake with it. It is a ceremony that I love. | | | | | | |
