wine gift bags

*smiles* I always write on the tag! If I receive one I cut the tag off and save the bag though! If I'm then using the bag for someone else, I'll make a tag that sort of matches. Skinflint that I am! lol

We always do write on the tag.
We only give plonk to my sister in law these days .
She is quite well off and probably just bins the bag but at least there is the small chance she may reuse it.
She can always tie a different tag to it after all.
We used to give a bottle of Whisky to my father in law at christmas and he would definitely have reused to bag and probably would have left the old already written on tag on it LOL.

Last time I bought gift bags, I used the tags. I bought a load for Christmas gifts, some of the bags were quite large so I could fit lots of smaller gifts inside.

It probably wouldn't matter either way, as the gift tag can be taken off, if the recipients want to reuse the bag.
We reuse gift bags sometimes, or the kids save them for their making box.

I think I'm even tighter than that! I don't buy a bag to start with!

I do re use the ones given to me though! I just take the tags off if they have been written on!

I always like to get a separate card for any occasion anyway and put that with the gift. So I leave the tag that comes with the gift bags blank. They're nice to be reused anyway, the bags, even if you write on the tag. It seems like most people give separate gift cards.

I think it would be a bit tight if they gave the bag to someone else I always keep them as they are special to me

I write my name on it. I want to make sure they know who gave it to them.

I usually write on the tag, when I receive a gift without writing in the card or on the tag it seems incomplete. I do as your first responder however, and cut the tag off of the gift bags and reuse them. We've given wine a a gift quite a few times, and I always leave the tag blank so they can reuse the bag for someone else's gift. I figure why not! If for some reason I did write on the tag, they could always rip off the tag, i'm sure no one would miss the tag. But I can't remember ever writing on the tags that come with those bags.
