As many of you may know by now. I am being challenged with the aids in my family

Pink you have no idea how hard this is. I am just trying to get over my heavy chest right now. I go to NY every year and now this has put me on delay for this coming Christmas. Not because I am scared. Because I am angry with him. I want to be there to support him. I just can't do it while still stressed and pissed of. Thanks a billion.

Prayer and family support are very important in surviving in a positive manner. Any one who is not positive is not helping in dealing with this disease. Even the health professionals seem to be a problem with dealing appropriately with the disease. Get an advocate in the social services as well.

You have some very helpful advice. I would have to wait to see how it goes. My mother just left the hospital because he is being rude to his roommate. telling the hospital he wants lysol and all sorts of stuff. That he wants to be in a room alone that the man stinks etc. This is the same person who now needs his family. They just left him and went home. My mom says the man was not in the room 20 minutes before the complaining. I am going to add you to my friends list thanks a lot.

When we are threatened we become angry and defensive. It doesnt have reason and it hurts us as much as others. Fear and rejection are real burdens with this disease. Self blame is also at work here. The victum needs real love and friends to work through this time of life. I was in shock for the first year until we were able to start to come to terms with this disease.

My sister is trying to deal with her anger as well. She is just going to need time. My other sister is afraid of the dead so,you know what will come next. My brothers t-cell count is 18. That is beyond good. He keeps thinking he will get better. Buying new tile for the kitchen. he is going to paint his kitchen etc. He is not thinking of getting worse. He can't even go to work tomorrow because he can't breathe. his chest hurts to much. Thanks for the help.

oops let your anger go not let you again go

I am more angry because he has felt sick for 16 years. Then for the last 7 I saw the signs of this deadly disease. We all spoke to him about going to the hospital. getting health insurance the works. he had not even gotten a hiv test in all this time. Come to find out he had already come to terms with him having it. He was not going to get tested because he did not want people in his business. Now he has to let woman and men know of this horrible mess. Then of all the places in the world to go get a teat. he has it done in our small noisy town where it will be on front street in less than a month. Neighbors of my mom are the hospital aids. The kitchen employee is a neighbor. The counselor was just at my nephew school the day before going to my brother's room. My nephew was in the room when the man came in to talk. How could he not get a test and protect others from this death sentence.
